The goal of the competition is to promote individuals and companies associated with the infrastructure and construction sector with outstanding achievements in terms of implementation and economic efficiency. The Diamonds show the added value that infrastructure and construction investments bring to the development of the Polish economy. Participation in the competition is an opportunity to present the achievements and activities of the company and exhibit the brand among the most important representatives of the industry.
The winners will be announced during the official awards gala, which will take place on March 19, 2026, as part of the 17th edition of the Polish Infrastructure & Construction Conference.

He was the Academy’s President in the years 2007-2010, re-elected for the term 2011-2014. Between 1995 and 2002, Professor Kleiber was the director of the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where since 1986 he has been chairman of the Department of Computational Science and Engineering. In the years 1998-2002 he was member of the Academy’s Presidium and between 1997-2001 he chaired the Board for Directors of the Academy’s research institutes. Prof. Michał Kleiber pursues research in theoretical and applied mechanics as well as information science and applied math. The main subject of his research are applications of state-of-the-art computational techniques in different areas of scientific research, technology and medicine – particularly for modeling, analyzing, simulating and visualizing of complex non-linear thermo- mechanics phenomena. In recent years, he has been actively involved in research and promotion of national innovation policies. Professor Kleiber is an author or co-author of over 240 scientific works and 7 books published by internationally renowned publishing houses. He is a member of editorial boards of 17 leading international scientific journals and the editor-in-chief of the prestigious Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering (Springer). He has also been active in popularizing science by, among others, being a scientific board member for the popular-science journal Wiedza i Życie (Science and Life). Prof. Kleiber is a winner of many awards, including the most prestigious Polish scientific award conferred by the Foundation for Polish Science and the medal granted by the Kingdom of Belgium for innovation achievements. He has been awarded the title of doctor honoris causa by the universities in Lublin, Kraków, Warsaw, Darmstadt (Germany), Mons (Belgium) and The Polish University Abroad, London, U.K. He also holds the ingenieur honoris causa title from the Ecole National d’Ingenieurs in Metz (France). He is a foreign member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in Salzburg and member of the Academia Europaea in London. He is a full member of the Warsaw Learned Society.Prof. Kleiber lectured and did research during long-term stays at a number of renowned universities world-wide: in Stuttgart, Hannover, Darmstadt and Bochum in Germany; Berkeley, CA and Stoors, CN, USA; Tokyo, Japan; Hong Kong, among others.In the years 1998-2001 Michał Kleiber represented Poland in the EU Joint Research Centre as a member of the Board of Governors and in the “Sustainable Growth” Steering Committee in the 5th Framework Programme. Between 2001 and 2005, he headed the Ministry of Science and Information Technology in the Polish government. From 2002 to 2005, Prof. Kleiber was also the chairman of the Governmental Committee for Offset Contracts. In 2005, he was elected member of the European Research Council (Brussels) and chairman of the European Materials Forum (Strasbourg). In the years 2008 – 2010 he was member of the Governing Council Steering Committee of the European Science Foundation in Strasbourg. He also served as the pro bono science and technology advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland (2006 – 2010).
A pioneer in building business relationships at the highest level. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin, the German-language MBA program at Kozminski University and the Higher School of Insurance and Banking. She has over a dozen years of managerial experience. She has worked for large retail chains HIT and Otto. She managed sales networks of several hundred people in financial institutions: the Austrian brokerage company Allfinanz and Skarbiec Asset Management Holding (BRE Bank Group). For over a decade she has also been involved in the executive search industry as Managing Partner at Cigno Consulting, which operates in the field of selection and recruitment and personnel consulting. She is the originator and CEO of the Executive Club, the most elite association of top management. She has worked with the entourage of all presidents of the Third Polish Republic, as well as with the most influential politicians of the European Union countries and intellectuals from such academic centers as Oxford, LSE, London Business School, IESE. She is responsible for the strategy of the Club, which integrates business elites and is a platform for top executives to exchange ideas and inspiration. She consistently promotes diversity, inclusiveness and equal treatment in business. She also supports charitable initiatives by linking business with selected foundations run by charismatic leaders. She has been honored with the “Honoris Gratia” medal, among other awards.
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Member of the Committee on Transport of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Poznań University of Technology in the discipline of transport. He graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology where he was awarded the title of Master of Civil Engineering. He completed a post-graduate course “MBA for Engineers” at the Koźmiński University. He started his career at the Development Planning Department of the City of Warsaw, after which he expanded his knowledge and experience at the Warsaw Province Governor’s Office, Municipal Roads Authority and in Budimex S.A. He was Deputy Mayor of Warsaw between 1994 and 1999. He has been working at Metro Warszawskie since 2002, first as Deputy Director, and further as Management Board Member at Metro Warszawskie Sp. z o.o. As Management Board Member, he was responsible for Metro extension and operations. He has served as the President of the Management Board since January 2006. He is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology. He conducts teaching and research activities at the Department of Geotechnics, Bridges and Underground Structures. He took part in numerous specialised professional training courses in construction and environmental protection from the perspective of European Union laws, in public procurement and management of investment processes. For three terms, between 2013-2019, he represented Poland at the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) as Policy Board Member.
Since 1997, he has been associated with the VINCI Group, a key player in the concessions and construction industry worldwide. Since 2000, he has supported the development of EUROVIA’s activities in Poland. Between 2014 and 2017, he was responsible for the operations of EUROVIA’s branches in Romania, Croatia and the Baltics. He currently manages the holding company VINCI Construction Poland, which includes WARBUD and EUROVIA subsidiaries in Poland.
Jan Styliński – President of the Board of the Polish Federation of Construction Employers, Vice-President of the Polish Cluster of Construction Exporters, Vice-President of the Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs. By appointment of the Minister of Development – member of the Public Procurement Council and by appointment of the Minister of Infrastructure – member of Council of Road Experts. Jan Styliński is an attorney at law, he practices investment, concession and PPP law. He is the author of numerous publications on investment issues, as well as a speaker and panelist at many conferences and trainings.
An engineer and a manager with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He graduated from Civil Engineering at University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, as well as from MBA program. For almost 20 years he has been successfully managing the PEKUM company in Olsztyn, previously gaining professional experience in Mostostal Warszawa, where he had gone through almost the entire corporate career path. For two terms, he was the chairman of the Warmia and Mazury District Chamber of Civil Engineers. His passions are long mountain hikes, motorcycle trips and music – he plays the dulcimer. He is happily married and the father of three daughters.
CEO, Layher Polska
Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at SGGW. Manager and contractor in several national and international research projects as well as several hundred projects and development studies. Expert in the field of geotechnics. Chairman of the District Qualification Commission at MOIIB. Building expert of PIIB and NOT. Author and co-author of over 200 publications, including over 30 works in the Web of Science database.
Mr Zbigniew Kotlarek was born in 1949 in the town of Czluchow in the Pomerania Region of Poland. In 1972 he graduated the civil engineering department of the Warsaw University of Technology, specialist in roads and airports construction. Between 1972 and 1991 worked in various regional branches of roads administration, most recently as a head of Public Roads Administration in the town of Lebork. Then he turned to business, was a partner in the steel construction company AMG and a manager of the Transprojekt Gdanski roads and bridges design company. In 2002 he returned to road administration and was appointed a deputy director of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. From 2005 to January 2008 he served as a General Director of that government body. Now he is CEO of MSF Polska company, a part of Portuguese MSF Group. In 2004 he initiated establishing Polish Road Congress and three times was elected the President of the Board, most recently in 2015.
Manager with many years of experience in sales management and marketing in the electrotechnical sector. He began his professional career in 1992 at SAPA Aluminium. Worked for Philips Lighting (now Signify) since 1995. Being responsible for sales and marketing for the Central and Eastern European region, he actively participated in the company’s transformation from manufacturer of lighting products to consultant and provider of integrated IoT solutions. He led the work of international teams, implementing innovative industry solutions and business models. He currently serves as CEO of Signify Poland and Sales Director for Poland, the Baltics and Ukraine. He holds a university degree in economics and is also a graduate of the Executive Master of Business Administration.
Szczepan Kusibab, as Vice President of the Management Board and CEO of Adamietz Sp. z o.o., has been responsible for the development and investor acquisition at the rapidly growing construction company since 2010. His professional career began in 1989, when, during the times of transformation, he first discovered international organisational structures and modern procedures at Skanska SA. At Adamietz, he encountered management in the family company model, where clear vision and trust became the key drivers of the business. He is characterised by boldness, extraordinary openness, but also the ability to make rational decisions and a creative approach to challenges. Thanks to his dedicated work and cooperation with teams of professionals, the company is growing dynamically in the construction market, implementing ambitious projects and building strong relationships with clients.
Wiktor Pawłowski is an outstanding figure of construction with nearly 50 years of experience in positions from construction manager to the director of the enterprise. After graduating from Warsaw University of Technology (1962), he worked on the construction sites of Zagłębie Siarki in Tarnobrzeg and in the rescue and renovation of the Old Town in Sandomierz. A particularly important period is work in the Ministry of Building and Construction Materials Industry (1983-87), where he was the director of investment, science and technology departments. From 1990, he was associated with PERI Polska, which has made revolutionary transformations in the implementation of monolithic construction in Poland. The creator of this company from scratch, and then for 20 years its director. Wiktor Pawłowski has great achievements in social activities. Between 2005-2012 he was the Chairman of the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians, currently Secretary General. During two terms of office he contributed to the consolidation of the Association and establishing its public position. In 2010, he initiated the “Agreement for work safety in construction”, which resulted in a 50% reduction in fatal accidents. Currently, he is the creator of BIM technology implementation in construction. Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers, as one of two people, gave him the title “Primus inter optimos” for a special contribution to the development of construction in the last 25 years.
Professor of technical sciences. General Director of the Road and Bridge Research Institute. Author of tens of research works and expert’s reports as well as over 130 scientific publications in the field of transport infrastructure. Co-author of 10 patents in the field of geotechnical structures. The president of the Main Council of Research Institutes and the president of the Academy of Engineering in Poland.
Maciej Runkiewicz was born in 1972. He graduated the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. He is Msc of civil engineering. He is also MBA after completing the study organized by Warsaw University of Technology. He has several years experience related to the management of construction processes covering project management, design and construction. As a board member of Kajima Poland Sp. z z o.o. he is fully responsible for the overall company activity in Poland. He is formally licensed structural engineer (according to Polish law) for the construction management and design. He is the member of the PIIB (Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers) and PZITB (Polish Society of Civil Engineers and Technicians).
Director of the Institute of Building Engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. Earlier – head of the Concrete Structure Department at this Faculty and between 2002-2008- vice-dean for student affairs at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. Her area of professional interests is related to concrete constructions, combined steel and concrete structures as well as use of the FRP reinforcement in concrete constructions. Member of the Section of Concrete Structures and Metal Structures Section of the Civil Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

In 1992-1994 he worked at Ahlstrom Industrial Boiler Factory – Fakop, and then at the distribution company “Proman” s.c. in Katowice. From May 1994 to February 2002, he was associated with Pepsi Co. Poland. From February 2002, he was a member of the Management Board, Director of Human Resources for Budimex S.A. From November 2007, he served as CEO of Budimex Dromex S.A. and Member of the Management Board of Budimex S.A. From September 2009 to April 2021, he was President of the Management Board, Chief Executive Officer of Budimex S.A. From April 2019 to April 2021, he served as Executive Director for Europe of Ferrovial Construction. From May 2021 to April 2023 he served as member of the Supervisory Board of Budimex S.A. and member of the Management Board of Ferrovial Construction International SE in Amsterdam.
