Jerzy Lejk – Doctor of Technical Sciences. Member of the Committee on Transport of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Poznań University of Technology in the scientific discipline of transport. He graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology, where he obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. He completed postgraduate studies in the „MBA for Engineers” program at the Leon Kozminski University.
He began his professional career at the Warsaw Development Planning Office, and then gained knowledge and experience working at the Voivodeship Office in Warsaw, the Municipal Roads Authority, and Budimex S.A. From 1994 to 1999, he served as Vice-President of the Capital City of Warsaw.
He has worked at Warsaw Metro since 2002, initially as Deputy Director and then as a member of the Management Board of Metro Warszawskie Sp. z o.o.
On the company’s management board, he was responsible for metro expansion and operation. Since January 2006, he has served as President of the Company’s Management Board.
He is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology.
